Meet Mulli Swing Solutions: Making Golf Smarter and More Accessible

Mulli Swing Solutions is a Fredericton-based golf technology startup focused on making the sport more accessible for beginners while helping experienced players improve performance. It was founded by a team of engineering graduates, Ethan Belliveau, Alex Khoshbakhtian, Brycen Munroe, and Matt Ryan. With their shared passion for golf, the company is bringing advanced technology into sports training through data-driven design.

The company’s flagship product is a high-tech golf grip training aid that delivers real-time feedback to golfers and coaches. The smart grip integrates custom force sensors, motion tracking, Bluetooth connectivity, and wireless charging to measure grip pressure and swing dynamics. By turning subtle movements into actionable insights, Mulli Swing Solutions aims to shorten the learning curve and help players build better habits.

Mulli Swing Solutions was officially incorporated in May 2023, but the idea originated earlier as a student project at the University of New Brunswick in September 2022.

“That course is where we first explored the concept and really identified the problem,” said Brycen.

As first time entrepreneurs, the team at Mulli Swing found they struggled the most with navigating uncertainty.

“Deciding what to prioritize and how to structure our path has involved a lot of learning-by-doing,” said Brycen. “Having the right guidance at the right time has been critical.”

The team is still learning and growing, with support from the startup ecosystem. Though they have only been a member at Planet Hatch since the summer of 2025, the impact of the support has been meaningful.

“The supportive startup community here in Fredericton provides guidance, accountability, and a sense of team beyond our own company,” they said. “Being surrounded by other founders, mentors, and support programs like Planet Hatch opens doors to resources and opportunities, and makes the ups and downs of building a company feel much more manageable.”

Part of that ecosystem support comes from Planet Hatch’s partners at RBC. Through a sponsorship agreement, RBC is able to offset the costs of a Planet Hatch membership, allowing small companies like Mulli Swing better access to resources and support.

As Duncan McCormick, Relationship Manager, Business Markets at RBC, notes:

“RBC is proud to be a longstanding partner of Planet Hatch, a collaboration that connects us with visionary founders and their groundbreaking ventures. We approach this partnership with purpose, recognizing that the success of any new business relies on the strength of its community.”

With a strong technical foundation and growing support network, Mulli Swing Solutions is well positioned to shape the future of golf training.

“Our next steps are centred around three key components: developing the design, testing the design, and protecting the design,” said Brycen. “We’re moving toward pilot testing our smart golf grip with coaches and players, while in parallel advancing our IP strategy. To support this, we’re now raising our first round of equity funding so our team can accelerate the path toward launch.”

Beyond product development, the founders emphasize the importance of the local startup ecosystem.

“Even in our short time at Planet Hatch, the support has been very meaningful,” said Brycen. "The regular check-ins from the Planet Hatch team have helped us sharpen our plans.”

Mulli Swing credits the support at Planet Hatch with exposing them to new opportunities in the ecosystem, including participating and pitching at events like Startup Canada Moncton in Sept 2025 and Hatch Connect in Nov 2025.

“It really does take a village to run a startup, and the community we have here makes a big difference.”
