Introducing Student Hatchers! In an exciting program in collaboration with Mitacs, the University of New Brunswick (UNB) and St. Thomas University (STU), Planet Hatch will have 3 Student Hatchers joining us for the summer. Planet Hatch members will have access to support from UNB and STU BBA, MBA students in various operational tasks related to marketing, sales, research, operations, and general strategy, contributing to the development and success of their businesses.

Meet the Student Hatchers

Student Hatcher
Fernanda Flores is an international student from El Salvador. She is entering her fourth year of her undergraduate program Bachelor of Arts at St. Thomas University, majoring in Psychology and Communications. She has experience with digital media including, social media management, content creation and advertising strategies, as well as research in both psychology and communications. Fernanda is excited to be part of the team and looks forward to supporting successful entrepreneurs.

Student Hatcher
Mahin is pursuing his MBA at the University of New Brunswick with a concentration in Management Analytics. With a passion for data-driven strategy, analytics, and innovation, he brings a diverse background spanning analytics, higher education, and marketing. Mahin has worked in business development and marketing roles for several global companies and institutions, and is an active co-founder of a British startup. With a strong interest in investment and management consulting, Mahin is committed to leveraging his skills to support local entrepreneurs and foster inclusive growth.

Student Hatcher
Katie Ramier is entering her fourth year of the Business Administration program at the University of New Brunswick, specializing in marketing and entrepreneurship. She has hands-on experience working in the entrepreneurial ecosystem through her previous internship at Planet Hatch, where she assisted entrepreneurs with client services, organized a networking event, and helped create marketing collateral. Katie is always eager to learn and expand her skills—whether it’s market research, data analytics, or any area that supports business growth. Katie also has a strong background in social media strategy and content creation across platforms like Instagram and TikTok. She is passionate about business innovation and is excited to continue helping entrepreneurs succeed.
